Go somewhere hidden and just pour out all my frustrations

I take everything for granted.

I have the resources to pursue something – a musical instrument, or another form of art. When I did take flute classes, I never really paid attention to what my teacher said. I practiced because I just thought I had to, I never really had the motivation to actually improve. There was no pride in my learning, no effort to make something out of all those classes. When Mock Trial came around, I just took that as an excuse to get out of those classes. I hated recitals, and never thought anything of the exams my teacher wanted me to take.

I also haven’t appreciated the classes that I take. All that time was spent on those subjects, but the only time I really cared about my class was when it was nearing the end of the semester and I was worried about my grade. This includes Chinese – I actually have to pay a lot of money for that class, yet I day dream when the teacher lectures and cram my homework and projects on the last day.

My room is quite large – it’s a master’s, after all. And yet all I can do with it is pile stuff everywhere. I could be arranging the layout to something more pleasant, with less clutter, and to make it more versatile. I could be throwing away all my trash and making it a habit to keep everything neat and in order. Instead I come home every day with frustration on my face as I try to clear out space to work.

I am severely impatient – one small mishap and I will be blowing up in front of my parents. Whether it’s the morning rush or a very talkative mother, I never bother to think that it’s not worth it to get so angry over something so trivial.

When there are things that need to be done, there is always an excuse:

This is really easy, I’ll just BS it later
There are 5 hours left, whatever
I’m waiting for this to finish, I’ll take care of the other parts after that
It’s not important at all (even though subconsciously I know it’s very important)

I always find myself drowning in regret after I realize how irresponsible I had been about putting things off. Yes, everybody does it, but I know can do better (or at least, I want to do better).

Need to study math + Spanish today, maybe start on ch. 21 notes.

Complaining? Who? Nope, I’m not guilty.
